Graphics quality earns the same verdict: good enough for most business purposes. i wouldn't want to use the 440cn for desktop publishing or other projects that demand the highest-quality text, but it's certainly good enough for most business purposes. one highly stylized font with thick strokes needed 20 points to be easily readable, but it's not a font you're likely to need in an office. all of the standard fonts in our tests were easily readable, with acceptably well-formed characters at six points-some were easily readable at five or even four points. The 440cn's text-output quality is as good as or better than that of most other ink jet aios. then run the automated setup program, tell the program that the aio is on a network, and sit back while the setup routine handles everything else. set it in place, install the ink cartridges (four, in this case), load paper, and plug in a network cable. Network setup is standard for an ink jet aio, and the 440cn's compact size-7.1 by 15.7 by 14.6 inches (hwd)-makes it an easy fit for even the smallest office. and i'd find the 10-page adf capacity annoyingly low if i often had to fax or copy long documents. my own rule of thumb is that i don't want to add paper more than once a week, which, with the 440cn, would mean printing no more than 20 pages per day. One key issue is how often you're willing to put up with adding more paper.
